Eit kvarters kjøretur frå Hjelmeland sentrum finn du Bjødnabu ski- og friluftsanlegg.
Anlegget ligg ved Forevatnet, ca. 450 meter over havet, og har både lysløype og varmestove, trimløype og gapahuk.
Den store parkeringsplassen ved anlegget er òg utgangspunkt for fleire fine turløyper i området, mellom anna ned til Pundsnes eller opp til Brendeknuten.

Cross country skiing trail in the winter, hiking trail in the summer.
The ski and outdoor facility in Bjødnabu is approximately a 15 minute drive from Hjelmeland center.
The outdoor facility is adjacent to lake Forevatnet, roughly 450 meters above sea-level, and includes both a lighted path, heated room, hiking trail and lean-in structure.
The large parking area is also a great starting point for several hikes in the area, such as the trail down to Pundsnes or up to the Brende Peak (Brendeknuten).
